From immediate threats to longer-term needs, each section highlights essentials that can mean the difference between life and death.

hypertension - death depending on condition

5-12 hours.
No shelter in cold, rain, or wind leads to hypothermia

Wet or inadequate clothing accelerates hypothermia,
especially at night
